FARM HOLIDAY

The Agriturismo Mezzano is in the heart of Chianti, 30 min by car from the centre of Florence, 20 min. from Greve in Chianti and under 1 hour by car from Siena.
It’s at an altitude of 450m, providing a stunning view on the valley below. The surrounding area has numerous tracks for walking and mountain-biking leading to historic churches, houses and to an old castle. The house it self  has his own history as a customs-house in the seventeenth century.

The main products of the farm are olive oil and honey. More than a thousand olive trees have been planted in the property over a century and the tradition is being continued, with the youngest trees having been planted in 2001. A forest of chestnuts, cherry trees and oaks takes up the remainder of the land. The wood is home to bees and a rich variety of wild flora and fauna.

Our products have no pesticides or fertilisers; we also have occasionally jam, mushrooms sauce and truffles sauce found locally.

Massages and horse-riding excursions can be organized on request. Just 7 Km far from the Florence Golf Club Ugolino (18 holes, Par 72, 5676 mt).

The water come from a spring few minutes far from the house: is a very good water!
All apartments are equipped with mosquito nets.
